6 Seater Garden Furniture
Six seater garden furniture gives a family room to eat together outside and still leaves space when friends come round. It is the size most people choose for summer dining, barbecues and long lunches in the garden.
Choosing a 6 seater set
- Chairs, benches or both: sets with two benches seat six in less space, while chairs with arms are the most comfortable for long meals. Many sets mix the two.
- Table shape: long rectangular tables suit narrow patios, and round tables suit square spaces and make it easy for everyone to talk.
- Space: a six seater dining set typically needs an area of at least 3 metres by 2 metres once the seats are pulled out. Each product lists the exact size of the set.

Yes. Our chunky wooden furniture is made from pressure-treated timber designed to stay outside all year round, and most Churnet Valley pieces carry a 20-year guarantee against rot. A coat of wood oil once a year keeps it looking its best.
Wood is sturdy, natural-looking and stays put in the wind, but needs oiling once a year. Rattan-effect weave is light and comfortable, usually with cushions, and is best covered in winter. Aluminium is slim, strong and won’t rot, and needs very little upkeep.

Yes. Furniture arrives flat-packed or part-assembled and needs some assembly when it arrives. We recommend two people, especially for larger sets.
Brush off leaves and dirt regularly and let it dry out after heavy rain. Once a year, apply a wood oil such as the Rhino garden furniture oils we sell to protect the timber and keep its colour.
