Overview
The trough is 183 cm wide, 58 cm deep and 52 cm high, which gives plenty of soil for climbers such as clematis, jasmine or sweet peas, with room for trailing plants in front. The square-grid trellis gives them something to cling to as they grow.
Construction & Quality
It's handmade in the UK by Churnet Valley from thick Scandinavian redwood that's FSC certified and pressure treated (tanalised), so it resists rot for up to 20 years with proper care. The trough is built from chunky 95 x 45 mm boards on 45 x 45 mm uprights, with a 20 x 45 mm trellis.
Practicality
It arrives part-assembled, with some self-assembly needed. At around 75 kg it's heavy, so it's delivered free on a pallet, kerbside. Put it where you want it before you fill it.
